#WomenOfTheScriptures The 10 Virigns

Shalom sisters!

As you look around, there is no sense of normalcy in this land.. So much is happening according to the scripture so if you aware then you should already be prepared for what's to come. If not, I implore you to read up on Jacob's Troubles [Jeremiah 30].. and get and STAY prepared so when the time comes..You are already ready! Which brings us to our lesson for the week.. The 10 Virgins parable has many nuggets but we will just touch on a few these week..

Let's start with what the word says first: Matthew 25:1-5 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept..

Here we are in the new testament where we should be applying everything we learned from the old testament..We already should know what we need to do:

1. Love The Most High with everything [Deuteronomy 6:5]

2. Since you love HIM, you will keep HIS Commandments.

3. Which will provoke you to Seek The Kingdom [Matt 6]

4. ENDURE.. [Matt 24:13]

This parable is all about being obeident and staying prepared because NO MAN knows the day or hour Our Messiah will return.. so we see here they all had lamps. Lamps need oil to keep the fire burning so that you may have light..for a number of reasons.. to either guide your path or pave the way for someone else #SomebodyGonnaGetItOnThe2ndRead

So it automatically tells us what we already know from Proverbs 14, five were wise and made sure to have oil in their vessels to make sure their lamps were ALWAYS full as they went to meet the bridegroom...the other 5 were foolish..took their lamps, however did not bring extra oil..why do you think that the foolish didnt think to bring extra oil on this journey?? Scripture says the slumbered and slept.. while the bridegroom tarried [be sure to see what that means]...

🤔Slumbered and Slept... hmmm are these two the same??

🕯Here is the gist.. in those days there were ceremonies and processions for weddings, burials, etc..and there were directives that each member of the party should follow... So, this is very important to know that we also have directives walking this walk of RIGHTEOUSNESS.. the question remains will you keep your lamp filled or ...
